A connected approach to mind and body
MONTY is built on the understanding that the body is not one separate system. Movement, strength, stress, energy, hormones, recovery, sensation and emotion all influence how we feel, move and live.

Rooted in North East of Scotland, this work blends evidence-informed practice with a holistic understanding of the body, bringing together neuro-somatic movement, bodywork, restorative tools and education to support strength, ease, connection and long-term wellbeing.
The lens behind the work
MONTY brings together science, body-based practice and holistic philosophy. The work is functional and energetic, clinical and compassionate, structured and adaptable.
3 Principles
The MONTY approach is shaped around three simple pathways. They are not separate boxes, but different ways into the same work depending on your body, capacity and season of life.
(01)
Move
(02)
Connect
(03)
Restore
Strength, Pilates, mobility, coordination, flow, functional and somatic movement and embodied expression.
Education, reflection, rhythm, mind-body awareness, women’s health, hormonal awareness, nervous-system awareness and practical tools in everyday life on the go or on the mat.
Massage, bodywork, Yin & Restorative Yoga practice, breathwork, Yoga Nidra, meditation, sound, myofascial release and recovery.
Our Story
The work explores the relationship between the brain, body and nervous system, including sensation, safety, stress, regulation, the vagus nerve and the way we respond to life through the body.
Drawing from exercise science, Pilates, mobility, coordination, balance and sports therapy-informed practice, MONTY supports strength, stability, resilience, capacity and functional movement.
Massage, bodywork, fascia-informed movement, lymphatic awareness and release-based practices support recovery, softness, tension, mobility and the body’s natural adaptability.
The approach considers cycles, phases, seasons, hormonal awareness, energy, rest, boundaries and pacing, recognising that capacity is not fixed and support should not be one-size-fits-all.
Yogic philosophy, TCM-inspired rhythm, breathwork, meditation, Nidra, sound and restorative practice bring in the energetic, sensory and reflective layers of the work.
MONTY is interested in longevity, compassion, relationship to self, relationship to others and relationship to environment. The work is about meeting where you are, building tools that adapt, and remembering that you are not separate or alone.
Meet Justine
I'm Justine Montgomery, founder of MONTY. My work has grown from years of study, teaching and practice across neuropsychology, exercise science, Pilates, dance, massage, sports therapy-informed bodywork, sound, breathwork, restorative practice and yogic philosophy.Â

Alongside MONTY, I also teach at Highland Yoga Collective and have over 12 years of dance training with qualifications through the United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing (UKA).

I trained across disciplines because people do not live in separate systems. The way we move, rest, recover, sense, respond and relate to ourselves is deeply connected.

MONTY brings those layers together in a way that is evidence-informed, compassionate, functional and deeply embodied.
